Automotive Service Excellence Exams (ASE)

To help automotive professionals get the recognition they’ve earned for their expertise, ASE has offered its certification exams since 1972.  ASE Certification tests are written in workshops by a national panel of seasoned automotive industry professionals and executives, including working technicians, automobile manufacturers, aftermarket manufacturers, and educators.  As of 2012, ASE certification tests are administered by computer at approved testing centers.

Step 1: Register

Register and pay for your tests at www.ase.com.  Keep a record of your ASE Eligibility Number.  You may want to print your registration paperwork.  Official ASE practice tests and study guides are also available at www.ase.com.

Step 2: Schedule

Call the Grayson College Testing Center (903-463-8724) to schedule an appointment.  You will need your ASE Eligibility Number, phone number, email address, and test name when making your appointment.

Step 3: The Day of the Test

Arrive at the Testing Center promptly.  Have photo identification ready.  Bring registration paperwork if you printed it.

Step 4: Take the Test

Take your tests. ASE will email you your results upon completion of your test.
